Description
The second volume of the "Bildungsbibliothek für Teutschlands Töchter," published in Augsburg in 1834, contains a chapter on the so-called "language of flowers. This flower language was one of the common means of nonverbal communication during the Biedermeier era, and much of it has survived in proverbs and idioms today. At the time, young lovers in particular could not clearly express what they were thinking in public, and thus could not clearly express their affection and dislike in words. Flower language therefore became an important means of communication without words. Under the keyword "daisy", the meaning of this flower can now also be read in the volume. The meadow plant stands for gentleness, joyful playing youth, pure and quiet joy, as well as for modesty and love. It is in this spirit that this fine vintage ring of the years around 1970 is designed. In the center of the composition shines a fine diamond of about 0.57 carat, surrounded by a wreath of eight smaller diamonds in beautiful brilliant cuts. The diamonds surround the center stone like the leaves of a daisy and together all the stones shine with beautiful fire. In total, there are about 1.45 ct of diamonds worked. They are good color diamonds with natural inclusion patterns. The stones are set a-jour in high karat white gold, which wonderfully enhances the radiance of the diamonds. Speaking in the language of flowers, the ring is a wonderful gift of love! The ring came to from Breisgau and is wonderfully preserved.
