Description
This ring is a fine example of the jewellery of the German economic miracle. This era brought forth pieces of jewellery that often sought to connect with designs of the pre-war period. However, unlike the very delicate jewellery of those earlier years, the jewellery of the 1950s is characterized by the use of much more material. Thus, the diamond ring we would like to present to you here is also a classic child of its time. After the years of privation during the war, the precious material was supposed to offer a new feeling of luxury and joie de vivre. Three shimmering diamonds set the ring, which is made of 14-karat gold. The brightly sparkling stones are arranged across the finger and have a beautiful presence that is further enhanced by the white gold settings. The stones have a combined weight of 0.09 carats, as revealed by a small stamp inside the ring band. The piece varies the ancient motif of the so-called "trilogy ring", where the trio of gemstones represent the past, present and future. Everything shines and is magnificent, yet restrained in its design language and thus can be combined with a variety of dresses and other jewellery. A great piece, high quality and stylish!

The first years of the young Federal Republic experienced a previously unseen increase in wealth and quality of life with the economic miracle. After the sorrows of the war years, the displays of the shops shone in new luxury, and not least jewellery and watches also served to visibly show the new joie de vivre to the outside world. The style of the jewellery of these years was often oriented towards the late Art Déco, as it had been developed since the 1920s and continued to determine the designs of the large goldsmith companies, especially in the USA and France: rich furnishings, clear geometries and an exuberant sparkle of high-quality gemstones determined the picture.
