For beautiful hair

Fabulous antique plug-in comb made of horn & gold, Historism around 1880

Jewelry pieces for the hairstyle are very rare to find today. In the 19th century, however, when ladies' hair was often pinned up into large updos, these pieces of jewellery were what made a jewellery set complete. This hair comb is made of horn, whose warm caramel tone goes wonderfully with all hair colours. As a showpiece, the hair ornament presents a decorative element of intertwined gold spirals reminiscent of a bow. Finely chased leaf ornaments in repoussé technique adorn its surface, which shines softly and velvety thanks to an additional fire gilding. The comb from the years around 1880 is excellently preserved - and is waiting for a lady with long hair to show it to its full advantage again.
