Prince Carl

Royal Bavarian 3rd Infantry Regiment "Prince Carl of Bavaria", Around 1900

Here we now have two badges or pins of the 3rd Royal Bavarian Infantry Regiment "Prince Carl of Bavaria". The regiment carried the name of the prince since 1866 and existed until the end of the 1st World War. The two antique badges were created during this period. The two badges here are made of copper and are very well preserved. Each badge is decorated with a small crown under which a shield with curved letters extends. The abbreviation "IRC" and a small "3" can be seen. This abbreviation stands for the Third Infantry Regiment Prince Carl of Bavaria. Even today, a badge can commemorate an outstanding act, or simply decorate the collar of a blouse or shirt.
