Precious vintage sapphire & diamond ring in white gold, 1960s
The exquisite ring here features the classic combination of flawless brilliant-cut diamonds with a sea-water blue, untreated, natural sapphire. The market for natural coloured stones has proved to be a playground for surprises in recent years. Sapphires in particular, with expressive color without artificial after-treatments, have become so rare that they are counted among the most sought-after commodities of all at gem shows. Stones like this sapphire, in an exquisite quality grade and neither purity-treated nor heated, regularly fetch top prices. They are considered a safe investment, because they can only increase in value. To be sure that the gemstone in our ring is a natural sapphire, we commissioned an expert opinion from the German Society for Gemstone Valuation in Idar-Oberstein. The experts, among them internationally operating and worldwide recognized gemstone dealers, came to a value assessment of 8.470,- Euro for our piece of jewellery. In this offer, however, we can offer the ring attractively below this price - a nice opportunity to come into the possession of a true jewel. The ring from the 1960s holds besides its wonderful sapphire with a substantial weight of 3.40 carats a total of about 0.84 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds of the most magnificent quality. The stones are brilliant white and flawless (vvsi-if) , as befits a companion for the precious center stone. The blue sapphire in an interesting cut combination is particularly distinguished by its intense color, which, unlike many other sapphires that appear very dark or almost inky, is actually perceptible as medium blue. The white sparkle of the diamonds brings out the colour of the sapphire in this ring even more. The ring band and settings are crafted from white gold and are a great match for the overall design of the piece. The gallery undercrossing allows light to reach the gemstones, which can thus unfold their impressive play of light particularly beautifully. A perfectly crafted goldsmith's work of timeless design, which has become increasingly popular in recent years - after all, Kate Windsor, the Duchess of Cambridge wears a very similar piece by the London court jeweller Garrards on her ring finger - a piece of jewellery formerly worn by Princess Diana. So with a ring like this, you're in the very best company. The featured ring exudes an absolute level of luxury in every way: The choicest materials, rich appointments, the finest quality of trim and the finest craftsmanship. A magnificent piece of jewellery with a modernity that stands the test of time. A dream in blue and white.
