Engagement Ring With Tanzanite and Diamonds in Platinum From our Workshop

When gemologists brought the first blue gemstones from the steppe sands of Tanzania to New York in 1967, which had been unknown on the gemstone market until then, the company Tiffany & Co. secured the rights to this mineral. Tiffany named the gemstone, which occurs in the earth's crust about one thousand times rarer than the diamond, after the country in which it was found. Due to its rarity and beauty, it is not surprising that this gemstone from the savannahs of Tanzania has become one of the most sought-after minerals in the jeweller's art since its discovery. And to this day, hardly any stone achieves this colourfulness, which can range from a delicate violet to a dark blue. This is why the present model, which we designed and which our goldsmith built, occupies a special place in our collection with its strong colourfulness. The focal point of the ring is a first-class tanzanite weighing approximately 0.60 carats. The facet cut stone is set in platinum and held in place by small leaves on the left and right, adorned with small diamonds. Two larger diamonds in set in a gallery lead over to the ring band. The basic model is also cast in sustainable platinum, as it is receycled by us, and is then hand-sawn, polished, engraved and the stones are securely set by hand. We designed the ring to be wearable every day. There is no prong to interfere or pull threads, and the construction of the ring is kept as low as the gemstone in the center will allow. With its rare center stone, the ring represents the rare luck of having found a person you want to spend your whole life with. Made of fine platinum and selected beautiful gemstones, this tanzanite ring is an ideal engagement ring for ladies who appreciate rich colours, slightly playful shapes and precious materials.
