Vintage brooch in the shape of a baronial crown with diamonds, around 1955
Noblesse oblige - nobility obliges? Here is a brooch designed in the shape of a crown made of high-carat gold, platinum and diamonds. It is a baronial crown. Seven large brilliant-cut diamonds of wonderful quality occupy the high soaring prongs of the crown. 30 more smaller diamonds are set in two sparkling lines at the bottom of the crown, making the jewel sparkle. The splendid workmanship, the sweeping design in the taste of the Midcentury and the high-quality materials - after all, a total of around 1.50 carats of diamonds are used - suggest that the piece was created in the years around 1955, when brooches in figural form enjoyed great popularity. A fashionable accessory that can decorate to great effect.
