Beautiful vintage flower ring with 1,33 ct diamonds, Germany around 1970
The second volume of the "Bildungsbibliothek für Teutschlands Töchter" published in Augsburg in 1834 contains a chapter on the so-called "flower language". This flower language was one of the common means of non-verbal communication in the Biedermeier era and much of it has survived in proverbs and idioms today. At the time, young lovers in particular could not clearly express what they were thinking, and could not clearly express their affection and dislike verbally. Flower language therefore became an important means of communication without words. Under the keyword "daisy", the meaning of this flower can now also be read in the volume. The meadow plant stands for gentleness, joyful youth, pure and quiet joy, as well as for modesty and love. This fine vintage ring of the years around 1970 is designed entirely in this spirit. At the center of the composition shines a fine diamond of about 0.53 carat, surrounded by a wreath of eight smaller diamonds in beautiful brilliant cuts. A diamond appraisal exists for the (more than) half carat, which is included with purchase. The diamonds surround the center stone like the leaves of a daisy and together all the stones glow with beautiful fire. In total there are about 1.33 ct of diamonds. The stones are set a-jour in white gold, which beautifully enhances the radiance of the diamonds. Speaking in the language of flowers, the ring is a wonderful gift of love! The ring came from the Taunus to and is wonderfully preserved.
