Sparkling!

Wonderful 1.14 ct old cut diamond in modern white gold ring, circa 1910/2019

The special thing about diamonds that were cut more than 100 years ago is their individuality. In a time when every facet was created by hand and the rough diamond was closely examined to bring out the most beautiful of it, the range of diamond shapes created in this way is far greater than today. This wonderful diamond shows this impressively, because it is not cut according to a fixed standard like a modern brilliant, but shows itself in the form of a sparkling individual jewel with its very own proportions. The masterful old cut of the stone, created in the years around 1910, gives it character and its shape makes it unique. The more than one-carat diamond is held in a white gold setting that is set all over with other small diamonds. Intricately and elegantly crafted, the incident light is also refracted by the reflection of the white gold and reflected back brilliantly. We have added the detailed setting to the more than 100 year old stone in our workshop, creating an enchanting symbiosis of new and old that produces an individual piece of jewellery. With the staging of the diamond, which was cut by hand about 110 years ago, in the finely crafted ring, the antique stone is wonderfully highlighted and thus a unique ring with class is created!

"Even if the preferred gemstones change and celebrate their resurrection as the darling of the ladies only after years - the brilliant has never lost its position, evenly like its impeccably clear fire it outlasts all currents of fashion. Understandable, therefore, that so many desires secretly aim at rings with diamonds..." (From a jewellery brochure of the 1930s)
