Rosy future in yellow gold
Unusual pair of wedding rings made of high quality gold from our workshop
Wedding rings were already known in classical antiquity. Even the ancient Egyptians and Romans wore a ring on the ring finger of the left hand as a sign of marriage, as it was believed that a vein, the so-called vena amoris, the love vein, led directly from this finger to the heart. While many Western countries adhere to this custom, in Germany, Central Europe and Scandinavia it is customary to wear the wedding ring on the right hand. The pair of wedding rings we would like to present to you here is inspired by wedding rings from the turn of the century and was created in our workshop. Made of solid, festively shimmering yellow gold, the rings feature a surrounding relief of rose blossoms and rose petals. Their gold content of 900/000 corresponds to the alloy of historical coin gold. In our opinion, this is the perfect gold content for a wedding ring as well, as it combines sufficient robustness for daily wear with the most beautiful gold colour on the other hand. The domed rings, each 2.5 millimetres wide, have rounded edges and are cambered on the inside, which increases their wearing comfort. There is enough space inside for your own engraving, a date or the name of your partner. The pair is also available in platinum or rose gold; you are also welcome to order just one ring: Just get in touch with us for this!
A rose is a rose is a rose... When Gertrude Stein lyrically evoked the image of the rose in her famous poem "Sacred Emily" in 1913, she was looking back on a long tradition of nature rendering in the arts, in which the rose in particular is so richly laden with meaning. In the 19th century, plant motifs of leaves and flowers were already the preferred subjects of art. They were seen as symbolising the forces of nature, the eternal growth and decay. And the rose occupied a special place in this, since it has always been a symbol of love.
