Some time ago we had a surprising visit. The two grandsons of a gemstone dealer from Stockholm had moved to Berlin and brought a small treasure with them. In their grandfather's estate, they had found a small box that had lain unnoticed in the attic for decades. It was filled with sparkling gemstones, tourmalines and beryls in many beautiful colors, already cut. Gustav Caesar had acquired the gemstones in May 1956, as revealed by the handwritten list that lay with them in the box. Around 170 carats of wonderful gemstones in all the colors of the rainbow had thus been waiting for around 65 years to finally be allowed to shine in the light of the sun! We did not hesitate for long and immediately took over the collection. But how should we present the gemstones? Our goldsmiths designed a ring entirely focused on the presentation of the gemstones. A narrow ring band made of high-carat yellow gold restrainedly wraps around the finger. In its center, the oval gemstone is held securely by four times two lobes. It is accompanied by three white diamonds on the right and left as sparkling points of light. In this ring, a light blue aquamarine is set. Aquamarines also belong to the beryl family, as do, for example, emeralds and heliodor. We like this ring because it is unfussy and gives way to the beautiful gemstone formerly owned by Sweden. It is also wonderful to combine. Which of the sparkling colors do you like best? Discover all the other rings from this edition here!
