An unusual gemstone sparkles at the center of this ring. It is a natural tsavorite, a rare variety of grossular garnet. Its extraordinary, intense green colour is caused by natural traces of vanadium, a rare element that is also responsible for the green colour of some emeralds. Tsavorite was discovered relatively late and is thus one of the most recent colored gemstones to have permanently established itself on the international jewelry market.
