Description
In earlier times, jewellery always had a meaning and thus transported a message. Rings with two right hands lying inside each other were already symbols of love and friendship in ancient times. They are still known today in goldsmithing under the term "fede" rings, from the Italian "mani in fede" (roughly: "hands in faith"). These rings were gifts between lovers and were meant to express your togetherness. In the Renaissance this motif was taken up again. Some early examples have been preserved in the museums of arts and crafts, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, for example, holds a small selection that you should definitely see. A fine example is the ring with inventory number M204-1975 from the 15th century. Looking for beautiful inspirations for our goldsmiths, we liked the idea of the rings with two hands not least because they are so readily apparent and speaking. So, inspired by historic fede rings, our goldsmith designed and made a ring that we offer in yellow gold, rose gold and platinum. Here is a pair of the rings in high karat rose gold. You can find all other variations at this link. The rings can be worn by both men and women. They are suitable as wedding rings, engagement rings or friendship rings because of their design, but also the meaning of the content.
